Wellington 56, Columbia 35

Wellington used a strong rushing attack led by senior Clay Wright to defeat host Columbia 56-35. The Dukes rushed for 479 yards led by Wright's career-high 266 yards on 21 carries and 5 TDs. Sophomore Chase Bealer added 108 yards on 16 carries and junior quarterback Dylan Weidrick carried the ball 7 times for 76 yards.

Wellington had to overcome a 28-14 first quarter deficit due Columbia's John Banyasz 4 TD passes to Shane Lambert. Banyasz threw for a career-high 405 yards including 299 in the first half and 219 in the first quarter. Lambert finished the night with a career-high 11 catches for 204 yards.
