Watched Monday Night Raw tonight for the first time in a while. I wasn't impressed.
I know it's early in the WrestleMania 27 build up but the card does not excite me and neither did this show.
First off, the return of the Undertaker. The return lacked a critical element - logic. Why was Taker at Raw? He's a Smackdown wrestler and what exactly was he going to announce? Since storyline-wise wasn't he put out of action by Kane? Shouldn't his vignettes been featured on the Friday night show and with the arena lights flickering at various times during the Smackdown broadcasts.
Now the return of Triple H. His return lacked a critical element - logic. Why is he returning now and why is he targeting the Undertaker? If HHH has a beef with the Taker for ending the career of Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 26, why would Triple H wait until now instead of, oh, maybe in the months following WM26?
I understand WWE bookers expect the fans to have short memories. I get that - except when earlier tonight on Raw you have CM Punk reminding fans how Randy Orton put him out of action in September 2008 at WWE Unforgiven in Cleveland which was two and a half years ago.
Besides, wouldn't the logical first opponent for Triple H be Sheamus who put HHH on the shelf last Spring with a storyline injury so he could film The Chaperone? Oh yeah, I forgot Sheamus is jobbing to Mark Henry after winning King of the Ring. Ugh.
Taker was at Raw Cause he can can can Lol... Now that i had a laugh about that heres what i is the reason since Ive been reading up on it.I think Hunter will be retiring at mania, Hes had a hell of a career (we wont count Terra Ryzing) and really hes has nothing else to prove in the ring hes done it all. Now what better way to go out on top then facing the taker at mania? there is no better way in my opinion and im sure that they will work the hbk thing in there.. Should be a decent match 2 top guys in the ring cant ask for much more than that.
